About the Teacher's Vision and Teaching PhilosophyA little history on why I love teaching ethics, science and mathematics ... It's quite simple ... make them relevant, applicable, and apparent in peoples' lives. This is my philosophy to teaching ethics, science and mathematics. Through this approach, educators can build the confidence and appreciation young learners of the 21st century need. Many people would tend to agree that anything is interesting when it's fun, tangible, and interactive. Ethical dilemmas are ubiquitous in nature, from creating a budget to dressing appropriately according to the weather, or to deciding to get vaccinated. In short, I believe that science and mathematics are learning vehicles and for young learners to help them gain useful critical thinking skills while ethics puts scenarios and real-world events in perspective so that a student could learn to de-construct social norms and ethical dilemmas in a constructive manner. |
